A Texas Notary Public is not an attorney and cannot give legal advice or represent clients in legal matters. Our role is to verify identity, deter fraud, and ensure that documents are signed willingly and knowingly.
In many Latin American countries, however, a Notario Público is a highly trained attorney with extensive legal authority, including the ability to draft legal documents and provide legal advice. This is very different from the limited role of a Texas Notary Public.
